The Issaquah Eagles travel to Tahoma, trying to grab a ticket to the final dance. Coming off a blowout victory over Emerald Ridge-Puyallup, Issaquah is healthy and rested. Sporting six All-Conference players, including three 1st teamers, they look to pile up the points. With an offense led by Zach Fritz, Matt Thomas and Mikey Giannopolus, they will be hard to keep off the scoreboard. The Eagle defense is led by sophomore netminder Jordan Dondoyano, and collectively they held ERP to three shots on cage and only one goal. Add to this some face-off domination by Giannopolus, and the Eagles will be a handful tonight.
Tahoma, however, has some stars of their own, sporting seven All-Conference players including four 1st teamers. Hudson Taylor has been unstoppable most of the season from attack, and he’s joined by offensive threat Brody Sullivan. The Tahoma defense sports two talented All-Conference poles in Chad Hedlund and Kyle Dige, some big seniors who know what to do with uppity opponents trying to put it in their net. That net has been ably guarded by Dustin Hendrix all season, who is coming off a spectacular 12 save game against a tough Bainbridge Island team.
It looks to be a great game in the south tonight. Get yourself down to Tahoma High School and check it out tonight!
