D2 Semi-Final Overlake vs. King’s Way

Overlake makes the trip down to Vancouver trying to crash the party that King’s Way is going to throw tonight. The Owls are coming off a dramatic one goal win over Shorecrest, staving off a couple of shots in the last minute, including the tying one which crossed into the net fractions of a second after the buzzer sounded to end the game. All-Conference midfielder Colton Umberger looks to lead the Overlake offense to a victory and he’s got plenty of firepower in his supporting cast.

First year Head Coach Josh Peck’s King’s Way Knights are looking to push through and make their first state final, having lost in a semi-final five years ago to these very Owls. Brian Prigmore, coming off a five goal performance in the quarterfinal win over Klahowya, looks to ignite an offense that average 11 goals per game. Defensively, the Knights always have a strong squad that stays disciplined and fundamental and this year’s no different. Led by junior goalie Conrad Littlefield, King’s Way has two All-Conference defenders in Brandon Pearl and Justin Held. All told, the Knights have six first team All-Conference players and the Owls will need to deal with everyone of them. Should be a great battle in Vancouver.
